Sorry!
Sorry I have not been posting! I have a ton of stuff going on, and with that my wellness as lacked :(
In school right now I am finishing up my last week of skin care! The first week we were giving facials to each other and did a seaweed mask. How many of you have had gone and gotten a facial?
They are wonderful, very relaxing! Still being in school we do a basic and a spa. The spa you get the same things as the basic added a face mask and a hot towel, however I like the hot towel to take the massage cream off so my basic facials still get the towel just not the mask or the longer massage time.
The seaweed mask I didn't feel helped as much as I wanted. Don't get me wrong it helped and was nice and a great thing to try. It was a cool temperature and felt really weird and like i had flubber on my face haha.
Then this past week we were waxing!! This week is always so fun because we all just wax everything haha, well most things. Some girls waxed their nose hairs, which the ones that do it love it! I didn't even though I wanted to, if you have a cold I wouldn't wax your nose because there is nothing there to catch anything if you sneeze! I have been told that it hurts less then waxing your lips which is something I haven't done either.
I had my arms waxed and my legs! The arms were to bad, there was a couple spots that hurt but that was because we didn't have the skin tight like we needed to but its so smooth! As for me legs I sat there watching youtube the whole time and didn't notice it at all.

Dry Brushing! Not a weird as you think.
I am a Pinterest lover! I have way to many boards and to many pins and am always looking for more. One of the pins that I have is dry brushing. I know it sounds weird! I get so many funny looks when I tell people that I have started. I even have one guy ask me if I was painting myself! haha. Dry brushing is just taking a dry brush and brushing your skin. Its a really simple task that has some great benefits!
Dry brushing helps to:
Exfoliate your skin which leaves it nice and smooth (don't forget that after you exfoliate any part of your body no matter if its your body or face you want to moisturize. I will be honest that I am really bad about this and need to get better at it. Not having enough moisturize is one of the leading cause of wrinkles so using a daily moisturizer and drinking the recommended servings of water are key). Helps with cellulite breaking up those fat deposits, and it helps the lymphatic system also known as our immune system.
Just to give a little information about the lymphatic system and what dry brushing does for it, your lymph nodes produce whats called lymph for the body. You know when you cut yourself or you pop a pimp on your face that clear stuff that overs the wound? That your lymph! and dry brushing helps to move that all around the body.
My brush I bought for $5 at target. It is the hand held piece that you need plus it has a long handle you can use to get your back! :)
Dry brushing is really simple all you have to do it start at your feet and using long strokes brush up towards your heart. Some people like to do small circles moving towards that heart but I found that the long pulls were soothing and I liked them better. Also there isn't any special number of times you need to brush, I just brush until my feel skins good and its normally 2 or 3 passes over one spot. Remember trust your gut with this its really simple just make sure your using a good boar brush and that your going toward your heart.

The Start!
To start off I want to show a little background to myself! I am a student Empire Beauty! I'll graduate March 20th! I love what I do at school and have learned more then I ever thought that I would between what I learn at school and my own. I wanted to start a blog to share all the things that I have been learning because I'm sure my friends think its weird when I start talking about my knitting crafts or my dry brushing! :) This blog is not just going to be about beauty and daily hygiene but also about crafts and honestly anything that comes to mind! If you guys ever had any questions or think of something that you want me to write a post about please feel free to ask!
